Temecula Wineries

Considering the second most favorite Temecula Winery, I will discuss Ponte Winery to talk about how to Optimize your Title and Description META Tags. I use Temecula wineries as wineries are a sexy adult pastime and because Many of them have such poor Web site marketing practices. They both go in the HEAD of the HTML.

Ponte Winery has the most talented group of marketing professionals of the Temecula Wineries. They are artistic, helpful of other wineries, extremely productive and nice people. With these skills it seems hard to comprehend why their relative site recognition (according to Alexa.com) knocks them around between second and fourth most well-known Temecula Winery web sites. The secret stops as soon as you examine their site optimization – it has been missing – until quite recently. Big surprise, as soon as they began to approach that issue, they jumped from fourth to second most favorite site. I am guessing they have Infinity Arts to thank. It is hard to be too critical as they are the second most favorite site, but with all their off-site Internet advertising, with a suitable optimized site Ponte should be the most favorite winery site.

We are not addressing META Keywords currently but we must always readdress the META Keywords as they are the foundation of the remainder of our work. As long as Ponte utilizes keywords that I would have suggested, they are utilizing too many. You need to optimize every keyword that you affix in your META Keywords. They have provided token optimization for a few and none for others. Ponte also fall prey to the most ordinary mistake of utilizing their brand (multiple times) in their keyword list – if they do not own #1 Google rank for their name already, then they have more basic questions. In other words, never use your brand in the META Keyword list as you are swallowing up real estate.

Here are Ponte’s home page Title and META Description.

TITLE TAG – How to use it:

As you probably realize, the text in the Title Tag is used by Google as the title for their Google listings. If we strip out the HTML, their Title reads: Temecula Winery & Temecula Wine Tasting | Southern California Winery |Ponte Winery.

1) The most elementary problem I have is that it is arranged solely for SEO optimization rather than thinking about people using Google who observe this as Google's title for all of Ponte's listings. This tag is not legible. Most web sites go the opposite direction and forget optimization when writing their Title tag. This is damaging only on account that site will never appear in Google's top 10 for their keywords.

2) It is critical to add as many keywords as possible from the META keywords list in the Title. Ponte included three so that worked. I would have cut back on the META keyword list to just these three keywords (maybe one or two more).

3) The title is too long. We will try to keep it to eight words as the remainder gets cut off on Google postings. You can see this if you do a Google Search on “Ponte Winery".

META DESCRIPTION – How to Use It.

Ponte Winerys META Description currently reads: Ponte Winery is among the most well-known Temecula wineries in Southern California. If you are searching for a superb Temecula wine tasting adventure, Ponte Winery provides its visitors with a excellent winery adventure. Our Southern California Winery is situated in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country. The principal concerns that I would emphasis to optimize your META Description are:

1) Google uses the META Description as the text below the title of each posting for Ponte Winery. You must therefore take into consideration the users of Google and optimizing keywords when crafting your META Description. This description is simple to read so they have considered the reader.

2) Use every META Keywords in the META Description. If you do not have space to accommodate the Keyword, seriously consider removing it from the keyword list. As I mentioned before, Ponte is utilizing too many words in their META Keywords.

3) The first few words in the META Description are the very essential. Try to put your most important keyword there. This idea is hard to implement. Ponte does not utilize the most essential keyword until the ninth word.

4) Restrict the length of the META Description to about 20 words. If you look at Google postings, that is about all they use. To optimize Pontes META description, try shortening it.
